USA Today Bestselling Author J.J. Hebert Explains the Benefits of Celebrity Endorsements for Books
- Boosts Credibility: Connecting your book to a celebrity will boost your credibility. Unknown authors can have a difficult time standing out among the crowd, so a celebrity’s name attached to your book can help it rise above the rest.
- Increases Sales: Associating your book with a celebrity naturally increases sales. “Marketing your book alongside a celebrity generally makes the book more desirable and adds a new trust signal that pushes formerly on-the-fence customers into buying mode and ultimately past the sales finish line,” Hebert says. “So if there’s one reason to look into celebrity endorsements it’s the fact that it should positively affect your sales and eventually your bottom line as well.”
- Creates Other Opportunities: Once an author lands a celebrity endorsement, it usually paves the way for other opportunities for the author, from speaking engagements to press coverage.
FAQs for MindStir Media Book Endorsement Services
Do you accept all books for celebrity endorsements?
No, there's a strict vetting process for each celebrity. It's important to reach out to us directly to see if your book qualifies to have one of our celebrities endorse it through a video. We reserve the right to reject any title for any reason.
What will the celebrities need from me to make a decision?
Generally speaking, we'll need a synopsis of your book if it's not yet published or your book's Amazon link if it's already available for sale.
Where can I use the celebrity endorsement video?
All of our celebrity packages include marketing the video on YouTube. But we'll also give you the video file so you can upload to your social media and website. Many of our clients use the celebrity endorsement videos as part of their Instagram and Facebook marketing efforts.
Do I have any input on the endorsement?
Yes, you'll have an opportunity before filming to offer info to the celebrity to consider for the video. We can usually only do a retake if there is a glaring error in the video. Otherwise, we offer these videos as-is.
